BRANDON, SD – Sept. 6, 2023 – Spartan Emergency Response®, a subsidiary of REV Group, Inc., and leading manufacturer of fire apparatus, announces The Colony Fire Department in Texas has selected Spartan and its authorized dealer, Metro Fire Apparatus Specialists , to provide the city with a new Ladder Tower 100’ Tractor Drawn Aerial.

The TDA is designed to be compact with the narrow width Spartan Metro Star® chassis and short Ladder Tower trailer/body design. It features a 149” tractor and 306” trailer wheelbases, making the truck highly maneuverable and allow for better access for the growing city of The Colony, Texas.

“The Colony Fire Department has an aggressive truck culture that needed a nimble fire apparatus to navigate the tight streets and expanding multi-family dwellings that are booming around our city,” said Fire Chief Scott Thompson. “We were able to build an extremely short ‘True Truck’ with Spartan that would fit our needs. Spartan offered the quickest build time currently in the marketplace, minimal propriety parts, and a sales team that helped us design a Tractor Drawn Aerial that would serve our city for a long time.”
