Uncompromised performance and safety.

Leading the way with 6,000 aerials built.

On January 1, 2017, Spartan Motors completed the acquisition of Smeal Fire Apparatus Co. (“Smeal”) including its subsidiaries US Tanker, Ladder Tower Company (LTC) and Telesqurt products. The newly combined company ranks as a top-four North American fire apparatus manufacturer and boast a robust and respected portfolio of industry-leading products.

Spartan, Smeal, and Ladder Tower have more combined experience engineering, building, testing, and supporting reliable aerial solutions than any competitor. Over the past 40 years, we’ve placed more than 6,000 aerials into fire departments across North America. No matter the conditions, no matter the demands, we’ve found a way to take firefighters to new heights in performance and safety.

Our facilities in Michigan, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Nebraska, Spartan Emergency Response are well positioned to meet the needs of customers and dealers throughout the Americas and the world.
